Honda Fireworks Competition 2014

This was an image that was stuck in my mind since the Honda fireworks competition, few months ago. I always considered raccoons "cute" before. But on the night of the fireworks, they showed me a different side of themselves. They were not cute at all!

Snack.

It has been a hot summer. And when things get hot, some people need to munch on things. Just to take the mind off the heat...I guess.

Stuff in the city

Only AFTER this passenger got off my bus, I just noticed what he was wearing.

Lady on Bus Fourteen

A lady I often see on bus fourteen. I am not sure about her condition, what caused it or if she was born with it. But she always makes sure she wears a nicely polished pump on her existing foot. I've got to say, I admire that. I often pondered how would I still remain a lady if I was in her shoe.

Events from June.

I was about to leave a beer garden one sunny afternoon, when this creature jumped out from underneath a customer's table and bit me in the calf. I was taken by surprise. This was the reality part.
Then came the dreams, gliding on snow without any skates or skis, reaching high speeds, twirling in  the wonderful icy winds while overcoming some obstacles-such as the line of Christmas lights on barbed wire.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a downhill rink?

Little Punker

Bear audience

Strange dream last night. I was playing my electric violin to a very relaxed bear audience in the Finnish countryside.

Unresponsive

I found this poor fella drowned inside the pool :(

Reminiscing: Inhaling Ocean mist at Curl Curl beach in Sydney.

I used to sit out on the rocks for hours on Sundays.

Old pine tree at the roundabout

Started off in ink, but could not resist continuing it in Paint tool SAI.

Rolling

It was really just a little game with textures. And perhaps an interpretation of the way my life goes by, these days. Don't you just love watching clouds roll?

Skating session

Spring may have a lot to offer- inspiration wise, but I am missing my skating sessions. Quite badly.
When I can't do some stuff on ice the way I want it, or when I see the new skaters on the side of the rink hanging on to their lives, I always think of Bambi:) So he is always part of my skating sessions.

Let her Jig!

Few things inspired me on this: One-a twisted pose from one of Egon Schiele's works, Two-The Chinese Long Horn Tribe, Three- spring flowers, Four-Irish music, Five-clouds. After a bit of fiddling around and not knowing which direction I am going, this piece came out of it.

Long Horn sisters with Red bird

I was obviously starved for colours when I made this.

Plunging birds, having so much fun.

I've been observing some birds as I was washing up the dishes one night. Every time they plunged into the branches of the apple tree next door, they created a petal explosion :)

Chennai hospital

Scene from the Chennai hospital. Although I was there two years ago, I still remember the moment of approaching front desk, and then noticing that all nurses were dressed in these wonderful saris. The colours of the fabrics, the reflections of these on rugged walls and floors, the girll's big velvety brown eyes, all made me feel healthy in an instant :)

The Race

The race has begun. With some aiming high, while others aiming low. I got this bulb as a present, and just can't stop sketching it.

Scarf.

These colours really make me want to plant some cosmos flowers. I just love pinks and oranges together. I haven't touched an analogue brush in a while (apart from basting a roast in the kitchen), and since today I found an old set of children's water colours, I thought I play a little with a real (non digital) brush.

George

George-the ginger cat- should be a very distant memory by now. But every now and then, I still think about him.
